It’s Official… I’m a Published Author!

There are moments in life that don’t quite feel real, and today is definitely one of them.

My very first children’s book is officially available on Amazon.

Even writing those words feels surreal.

If you’ve been following Brewed by Chelsey, you know that I wear a lot of hats teacher, mom, coffee lover, bookworm, and someone who is always dreaming up the next big idea. This book has quietly been one of those dreams.

As an elementary teacher, I’ve had the privilege of watching children discover the magic of stories every single day. I’ve also seen the challenges that many children face when it comes to believing in themselves, especially as writers. That inspired me to create a story that encourages children to find confidence, embrace their imagination, and realize that every great story starts with believing they have one to tell.

Writing this book wasn’t always easy. There were moments when I questioned whether I could actually do it. But page by page, revision after revision, it slowly became something real.

And now… it’s a real book.

Holding the finished copy and seeing my name listed as the author is something I’ll never forget.

This book is more than just a story. It’s a piece of my classroom, my heart, and my belief that every child deserves to see themselves as capable, creative, and important.

This is only the beginning.

Over the coming weeks, I’ll also be sharing classroom resources and activities on my Teachers Pay Teachers store so educators and families can extend the learning beyond the pages of the book. From writing activities and lesson plans to kindness projects and art extensions, I can’t wait to share everything I’ve been creating.

If you’d like to support my journey as a first-time author, I’d be incredibly grateful if you’d check out my book on Amazon.

It is also available all across the world on Amazon.

Whether you purchase a copy, leave a review, or simply share it with someone who loves children’s books, every bit of support means the world to me.

Thank you for cheering me on through another adventure.

Now… who’s ready for Book #2? ☕📚💛

I Have Been Keeping a Big Secret from Everyone!

For months, I’ve been carrying around a secret that has completely filled my heart.

Today, I finally get to share it with all of you…

I wrote a children’s book. ❤️📚

Even typing those words feels surreal.

As many of you know, I’m an elementary school teacher. Every day I have the privilege of learning alongside incredible children. Over the years, I’ve watched them celebrate, laugh, worry, doubt themselves, show kindness, and quietly carry things that no one else could see.

That inspired a simple question…

What if every child carried two backpacks?

One backpack holds books, pencils, and lunch.

The other carries something invisible…

Feelings.

Hopes.

Worries.

Dreams.

That little idea became The Invisible Backpack, a story about kindness, empathy, and reminding children that they never have to carry life’s heavy moments alone.

Today, I clicked the button that sent my very first book to Amazon for printing.

I still can’t believe I’m saying that.

This book has been a true labor of love. There were happy tears, lots of editing, countless hours in Canva, and one very special first reading with my daughter, Athena. We both cried, and in that moment I knew this story had become everything I hoped it would be.

But this is only the beginning.

The Invisible Backpack is the first book in The Invisible Series a collection of stories designed to help children understand big feelings, build empathy, and remind them that kindness has the power to make someone’s backpack a little lighter.

Because I’m a teacher, I also wanted these books to become meaningful classroom resources. That’s why I’ll be creating companion activities, discussion guides, and classroom resources, along with additional teaching materials on my Teachers Pay Teachers store so educators can easily bring these conversations into their classrooms.

My hope is simple.

I hope these stories help children feel seen.

I hope they start conversations around dinner tables, during bedtime stories, and inside classrooms.

And I hope every child who reads The Invisible Backpack remembers one important truth:

You never know what someone else is carrying.

Choose kindness. ❤️

Thank you to everyone who has supported me, encouraged me, and believed in me along the way.

This dream is just getting started, and I can’t wait to share the journey with all of you.

With love,

Chelsey

Brewed & Blogged: Why I’m Here (and What’s Brewing)

Grab a mug — we’re doing this.

After years of journaling, teaching, talking to my dogs, and mentally writing blog posts in my head, I finally brewed up the courage (and coffee) to hit “publish.”

Welcome to Brewed By Chelsey — a cozy, caffeinated space where I’ll be spilling more than just milk.

I’m Chelsey — single mom, teacher, reader, weightlifting wannabe, wellness warrior (in progress), and passionate over-sharer. If it involves books, strong coffee, big feelings, teaching moments, or sarcastic rants… I’m probably writing about it.

☕ What You Can Expect:

  • Bookish love letters & reading rants
  • Coffee obsessions & mug-worthy moments
  • Real-life wellness updates (not the fake, polished kind)
  • Teacher talk & life behind the classroom door

This blog isn’t about having it all figured out — it’s about finding joy in the chaos, laughing at the mess, and sharing what keeps me going (and grounded).

So go ahead: brew something warm, get comfy, and hang out with me here.

Let’s read. Let’s sip. Let’s be real.

xo,

Chelsey
